Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who made her name with clever raps that tackled gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. She then expanded to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. In the following years, she took up traditional and hip-hop training. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. She turned her attention to music once she finished her studies. Her song My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a popular viral sensation across the Internet and later appeared on her first LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits, such as body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC BitcheUSD. This track was directly linked to another project, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. After having a great career as a singer, she decided to take on the character of actress. In addition to early shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2. Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
