Carey was 5'10 inches tall before she stepped up to the high-end model. The popularity of her among American fashion designers Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren was high. Her father was a distinguished geologist, who in 1979 was named Scientist of the Year from the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Because of his work, Carey has been raised across the world. She began her acting career with a small part in the film 'Club Paradise which aired in 1986 alongside Robin Williams. Her leisure time is spent in wind surfing, skiing as well as rock climbing, and white water rafting.
